Herewith I ask the European Union authorities to take into account the ’Catania report’, approved by the European Parliament, in the elaboration of the new EU Drug Strategy.
The European Council of 17 December 2004 has approved the EU Anti-drug Strategy of the EU for the period 2005-2012, which establishes the framework, priorities and objectives for two consecutive drug action plans of three years (2005-2007 and 2009-2011), each of them followed by a period of one year (2008 and 2012) for evaluation, that the European Commission should present.
